Got a DUI . . . I’m Ready to Surrender

I’m embarrassed to admit it, but my Driver’s License has been revoked.  I’m no longer allowed behind the wheel of my own life. hand cuffs

I was caught speeding along in the fast lane under the influence of my ego, and the Universe pulled me over, shoved me up against the car, stripped me of all concealed weapons and slapped me with handcuffs.  I was forced to admit that when I was in control, things tended to get a bit messy.  So, I was fired.

And frankly, it’s a relief.  At this point, I’m really tired of feeling like I need to have all the answers, fix everything, be in charge.  For once, I just want to take orders. I just want to

  • do what I’m inspired to do
  • make a contribution
  • be happy

and let Someone or Something more capable worry about everything else.

I was recently inspired by Wayne Dyer’s film, “Ambition to Meaning.”  He talked about there being a divine pattern for our lives that will unfold naturally if we can get out of the way.  We trust that there’s an intelligent force that guides us from embryo to fetus, but we automatically assume that this force disappears once we’re born and that it’s all up to us. He questions this assumption.

And I still remember Matthew 11:28-30 from scripture chase in my past life as a Mormon youth:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

So I’m pretty sure my puny brain with my puny perspective was never meant to be in charge.  And with the craziness that seems to be unfolding on a global level, I think more and more of us are coming to realize that we need to approach life from a different place.

I’m working on increasingly living from inspiration.  What is that little voice inside of me telling me to do?

It’s telling me to keep working on empowering people in today’s real estate market by giving them tools for achieving the benefits they’re looking for.  We don’t need to be standing around waiting for a knight in shining Obarmor . . . we can create our own solutions.  Every deal that successfully comes together (that otherwise wouldn’t) makes a difference for the entire economy.

I’m absolutely passionate about seller financing strategies, and teaching people how to use them intelligently and effectively.  And I’m going to get busy doing it, as soon as I find my keys . . .
